MDF1 Devilish (29.08.03)

JoJo: All right, what's this thing you're talking about that's not Christmas, but is what?
Tom: In Germany we call it, uhm, uhm, Nikolaus!
Bill (cutting in): Nikolaus is, you know, the little brother of Santa Claus. And it's like you put your shoes out, and overnight...
Tom: You have to (clean?) the shoes, put them out, and overnight you, you know, get some gifts, and yeah, maybe some money, or you know, cinema card or tickets...
Bill: It's really really cool, you don't have it in America, right?
JoJo: No, we've never heard of it! Because, I think in Germany, what I think your parents are trying to do is keep your shoes clean, while here in the states, we just say go to bed early and Santa will come. Now do you still celebrate Christmas, and this is something that just leads up to Christmas?
TH (can't tell who is who): Yeah, right, right.
JoJo: So it's called Nikola
Twins (I think): Nikolaus.
JoJo: Nikolaus, and you leave your shoes out, and little Nikolaus is supposed to stroll to your house, and put stuff in your shoes, and takes off?
Bill and maybe Tom: Yeah, that's right.
JoJo: Now who drops them off? Like, does he roll up by himself in his little baby sled? Or how does he get there? What's the legend?
Tom: I-I don't know. I don't really know. But I, you know, hope it's a a hot lady maybe, Nikolaus. I don't know. (laughter from back, sounds like Bill) Maybe a hot, naked lady and you know, it would be great.
JoJo: Yeah, they were telling me about him. Cuz they were like your place in Germany is like the playboy mansion, right?
Tom: Right.
JoJo: Oh, it's the palace. Chicks everywhere. You don't need extra girls, man. You don't need extra women.
Tom: No, that's true. But him.
*cue laughter from all*
JoJo: Hey, you guys performed at the Jingleball Village and the fans went nuts, as always. You're about to do a second performance today, on the stage, so let's just get back to Point A. How'd it go at the first performance?
Bill: It was...really cool.
JoJo: (people something something nuts *lost in Bill's talking*) Your fans are insane, right?
Bill: Yeah, they were crazy. I mean, they were screaming Tokio Hotel, and they sang Monsun before, I think with a.....(Tom gives word) moderator. That was cool. We were sitting in the car. We had some trouble with the police before. I don't know why.
JoJo: What happened with the po-po?
Bill: I don't know...They stopped us and just said..Ohkay...Where you from..
Tom (cutting in): You look scary and you have to stop here.
Bill (cutting in): Say Happy Halloween
Tom (cutting in): Say Happy Halloween, (god, we're prisoners?)
Gustav: and Tokio Hotel? Never. You drive in this ugly car, you are not Tokio Hotel.
JoJo: Oh, they didn't believe you?
Twins and Gustav: No.
Bill: I mean, there's a story. We went to the airport, and we wanted just to fly to another city, and I was like, you know, with the hair..
Tom: And there were the security people, from you know, from the airport.
Bill: Yea. And I went through the airport, and everyone said, oh, you look scary, Happy Halloween. And I was like ohkay, thank you. But it was just me. It was just yeah.
JoJo: Like sorry, I didn't know Halloween was in March, but whatever.
TH: Yeah.
JoJo: Hey, your hair tonight. It's normally up. It's sort of down now. Describe the hair tonight. It's a little different.
Tom: Boring.
TH/Twinnies (they all repeat it): Boring.
Bill: Yeah, it's a boring look.
JoJo: Oh, ok, boring. Boring, Nikolove, Big Cinema, I got presents for you tonight. Back in a sec, it's Tokio Hotel with (-----?) and JoJo on KIIS FM.
TH (but mostly Bill): Ohhh. Wow....
Bill: It's very helpful.
JoJo: Six walkie talkies. Four for you. One for your manager. One for your security manager, so they can keep track of you guys.
(anyone know who?): You know what? I got you something too. Hold on a second. Because I follow the tabloids and I know a lot more about you guys. I know you guys won't deserve anything this year. That's a bag of coal right there. And in our country that means you've been naughty this year.
Bill: Ohh. You've been naughty!
(anyone know who?)We know about your playboy mansion. Back in Germany.
Georg: That's totally for Tom. (Bill and Georg agree)
(anyone know who?): See that? Sack of coal.
JoJo: Oh my god. Speed round of questions and say pass if you don't want to answer. Do you believe in Santa Claus? I assume you do because you believe in his little brother Nikola.
Tom: Uh, santa claus...yeah, yeah.
Rest of TH: Yeah.
JoJo: How many people in...*trails off*
Tom: I think, you know, Bill played the santa claus for our small cousin.
JoJo: You played Santa Claus before?
Bill: Yeah, one time. And I was like, I don't know, 12 years old...? And I'd a really, you know *makes weird opera noise*
Tom: Yeah. (And it was sized like this.?) It was a really small, you know....
JoJo: Now, Bill, santa claus is traditionally, a pretty fat guy.
Bill: Haha, yeah, I know.
JoJo: You're a skinny dude, so how'd that work out?
Bill: I had, you know, everything, my whole band (or bed?) with me...so..
oJo: Love it. So how many people in the Tokio Hotel entourage today?
Tom: Uh....15?
Bill: 1?
Georg: Noo.
Bill: 10? 10 people? 12?
TH: Yeah, 12 people.
JoJo: Excellent. Any crazy dressing room requests for Tokio Hotel?
Tom: No! We have a really bad dressing room. I think, you know, it's kinda under the stage.
JoJo: You're under the stage?
Bill: Yeah, and we can listen to all the other music tonight!
Tom: Yes, that's great.
JoJo: So when you want to relax all you hear is *imitates loud music*
TH: Haha, yes.
JoJo: Uhhh. Does my new hairstyle make me look like David Beckham?
Bill: Uhhh...
Georg: You look better than David Beckham
JoJo: Love you. Got to love you! Have you ever been starstruck?
Bill: Starstruck?
JoJo: Have you ever been starstruck? You see a celeb.. you're in love with whoever the celeb is, and it freaks you out.
Tom: Jessica Alba..
JoJo: Really?
Tom: But I never met her.
JoJo: We can hook that up. We know a couple of people.
Tom: Yeah?
JoJo: Yeah.
Tom: You've met Jessica Alba?
JoJo: I know her man pretty good. I know her husband. Ohh. Jessica Alba? I'm like Jessecaba. Who? Haha, alright, I love you. Big cinema, big cinema. Hey, do you guys have any pre-show rituals that you guys do?
Tom: Uh, not really. Big business on the toilet for George, but I think you know that.
Georg: We talked about it last time.
JoJo: Haha, yeah, I remember. Another thing I don't think we should talk about that happened last time. They had never tried Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, or a 7/11 Slurpee. Have you tried it since then?
Bill: Yeah. I love -- (cut off)
Tom: We had some slurpees.
JoJo: Are you addicted now? Are they good?
Tom: Yeah. I like it. It's great.
JoJo: Who's buying the most expensive present for somebody for the holidays?
TH: Uhhhh.
JoJo: Ooh. Pressure.
Bill: It's hard to say.
TH: Uhm....
Georg: For my parents?
Tom: Bill?
JoJo: Buy them walkie talkies?
Other guy: You're regifting those walkie talkies?
JoJo. Haha, perfect. It's your walkie talkies. Do what you got to do. Okay, final question, and this is a strange one. I want you to say, in your sexiest voice, ho ho ho. And the Tokio Hotel fans are going to go nuts. So ho ho ho in a sexy voice. The fans are waiting...
Bill: Gustav!
Gustav: Ho Ho Ho.
TH: *proceeds to continue saying ho ho ho.* (You decide who's the sexiest. Bill and Georg both have chipmunk ho ho ho's. hide.gif)
JoJo: Haha, that went pretty well. Do it again?
TH: *proceeds to do so*
Bill: Very good!
JoJo: Ohhh. We are backstage at the JingleBall. Boytoy Jesse and JoJo on the radio with the fellows of Tokio Hotel, you guys have a great night, ok?
TH: Thank you.
JoJo: Big Cinema!
TH: Big Cinema!

Entrevista exclusiva: TOKIO HOTEL en MTV LA 2008
Scream!!! We already hear the energía echoing across the border for Los Premios! Want to slide your way into the eye of the storm? Entonces grab your trusty sombrilla and prepare yourself to get drenched in our exclusive Tokio Hotel "Monsoon"!
October 16th has finally arrived, which means we have swapped our shameless reminders for dark eyeliner, hairspray, sunblock, and a (virgin) piña colada. Our pre-gaming glory is never complete without an overdose of celebrity chisme, and identical brothers Bill and Tom are here to add an extra cherry to nuestro refresco. The Los Premios performers and nominees, spoke to us exclusively about their trip to Mexico and their secret Spanish-speaking skills (si señor!). Grab your full fix right below the hood!
What artists are you looking forward to spotting at Los Premios?
Bill: Oh, we are really looking forward for the whole event. Being there, seeing all the artists - I bet there will be a lot of great performances. Then our own performance and being nominated … It's really a big thing for us and we're excited to be there.
How bad do you want to win the coveted Los Premios tongue award?
Tom: Winning an award is always great but for us it's really exciting just to be nominated. We've only been to Mexico once before. So, like Bill said, we are just excited to be there.
Any particular Latin artist you would like to collaborate with?
Tom: Well, there are a couple of great Latin artists and who knows, maybe someday we'll do a collaboration - but nothing is set yet.
Does anyone in the band know how to speak Spanish?
Bill: [Laughing] I know 'Hola' and 'Gracias'! But no, unfortunately none of us speak Spanish. You guys definitely need to teach us some when we come.
Tom: [Smiling] Yes, I really need some great lines for the beautiful girls over there …
As German musicians, do you ever feel like your English tracks get lost in translation?
Bill: Our lyrics are really important to us and we really want everybody to understand them. So that was the reason why we as band decided to do an English album. We chose our favorite songs from the first and second German album and did a one-to-one translation. [Laughing] We got some help on that, cause obviously our English isn't too good. But the most important thing to us was that none of the meaning of each song got lost. That's why we decided on a one-to-one-translation.
What can fans expect from the band for the rest of 2008?
Bill: We will be busy with working "Scream" the album for the rest of the year. After Los Premios, we'll go over to the States and play a couple of shows and promote the album. In November we will be at the European Music Awards and I think we'll be busy until Christmas. Besides that we take every chance to go into the studio to work on our third German Album. So, there's lot left to do for us till the rest of 2008.
We are glad they are sharing the love! They forgot to mention the unveiling of Bill's figure at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Germany. Fans all over el mundo are melting for a touch of our flaco! ¿Quieres más Tokio Hotel? Keep it locked for Los Premios TONIGHT at 9pm on MTV Tr3s!

Tom Kaulitz is not a fan of Miley Cyrus‘ face.

Tom Kaulitz from Tokio Hotel: 'I am not a Fan of what Miley Cyrus does Or what she looks like.'
Your goal was to break through in the United States. Do you have the feeling that you have attained it?
Tom: Frankly, none of us four expected that there'd be so many fans at our concerts. It has always been sold out and the public was as crazy over there as in Europe. I think, we have fulfilled our contract. The mission is accomplished in a way (laughter). Georg: We all feel to have managed to achieve something great. I don't think that before us a German band has met such hype in the USA.
Yet, one can slow a bit down the enthusiasm of your American success: during your promo there, you have sold only 100,000 albums, while the goal was to reach 500,000..
Bill: You're right, despite our efforts, 'Scream' has not really taken off in the U.S. charts. Frankly, I don't know what the reason is. We have done our best to make our music known to as many people, but the US market is very difficult to access for foreign artists. However, without wanting to sing our own praises, selling 100,000 albums is still enormous for a German band. We are not disappointed by this result.
Tom: What we enjoyed the most was to receive an MTV Video Music Awards for Best New Artist. We didn't expect that at all since we were in competition with Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry or Taylor Swift, who are far more popular than us over there. To receive this award was a real shock. To date, it may be the best reward we have received for our career. In addition, I must say that I really enjoyed seeing the confused puss of Miley Cyrus when the winners, in other words us, have been announced.. (laughter)
You don't seem to have taken her to your heart..
Tom: On the one hand, I am not a fan of what she does, plus, she doesn't have the physical criteria that I look for in a girl. So, everything is said. (laughter) Bill: Tom talks bullshit, as usual! He is an uptight fan of "Hannah Montana", I've have already caught him watching some episodes secretly. (laughter) Tom: We will settle that tonight. Secretly..

One magazine
At the beginning of September, the Tokio Hotel returned home after a gruelling American tour. Next step: recording the successor to "Zimmer 483″. Just before they go into the studio, we've chatted a few minutes with them to take stock of these recent months. Bill and Tom also talk about their next album …
"I know that it would please some people if we fail with our next album." Bill
So guys, glad to be back home after your American journey?Bill: Yes, we are very happy to be back home and with our families … We really loved to spend all this time in the United States, but we really began to have difficulties with the country. A month abroad is a long time …
Tom: As for me, I admit that it really wouldn't have bothered me to stay a little longer. I love the US. First, in terms of clothes, it's really great there. I brought a ton of clothes and several pairs of sneakers that you can't find in Europe. And then, I feel really comfortable in big cities like New York and Los Angeles. I really enjoyed it there …
Your goal was to break through in the United States. Do you have the feeling that you have attained it?
Tom: Frankly, none of us four expected that there'd be so many fans at our concerts. It has always been sold out and the public was as crazy over there as in Europe. I think, we have fulfilled our contract. The mission is accomplished in a way (laughter).

Bill: Tom talks bullshit, as usual! He is an uptight fan of "Hannah Montana", I've have already caught him watching some episodes secretly. (laughter)
Tom: We will settle that tonight. Secretly …
How many times have you been asked where did the band name come from when you were in the US?
Bill: (laughter) I don't know. 250 times, the number of interviews we gave there … I thought, we had returned three years back. The total horror.
Tom: "How did you come to music" is also a question that has often been asked … Of course, it's boring having to repeat the same thing for the thousandth time. But it makes humble, it reminds us that not everyone is supposed to know us. It does us good to regain that feeling to start from scratch or almost… We've got down a bit from our little cloud.
Georg: Yeah, but I admit that it's annoying, though. I thought that American journalists would have a little better swot their subject before meeting us. Alas, no …
If you have to treasure a noteworthy event of this trip, which would it be?
Bill: For me, it would probably be one of the signing sessions that we organized in a record store. It's always great to be able to meet our fans and listen to the stories they tell. These meetings have inspired me a lot for our next album …
Tom: As for me, I especially remember the times when two fans managed to get into my hotel room while I was getting ready to go to bed. I have absolutely no idea how they managed to find us … However, I must say it was a rather pleasant surprise. But I can not tell you the sequel, I let that to your imagination … (laughter)
Let's talk about serious things now, the preparation of your third album. What is its state of affairs exactly?
Tom: We are just about to go into the studio. Needless to say we are 100% focused on this new project. That is why you will certainly not hear much about us in the coming months …
Bill: Yes, we are aware that this is one of the most important steps in our career. The pressure is enormous, but we try not to think about it too much. Our goal is to ensure that this album is simply the best we have recorded.
What can we expect sound-wise?
Tom: The idea is to make songs that surprise our fans and show a facet of us they probably don't know. We don't want to rest on our achievements and record a second "Zimmer 483″. The idea is to take some more risks, while maintaining our identity …
Bill: We also want our lyrics to be more personal. That is certainly the effort that I make. Everything I've experienced in the past year greatly inspired me and I filled notebooks full of lyrics …
If this third album was going worse than the previous two, would that make you worry about the continuation of your career?
Bill: I know that it would please some people if we fail with our next album. The success has not only attracted sympathies for us, far from it… Now, we don't rack our brains over it. As I said, we are going to make the best possible album. And if it is less well received than "Schrei" or "Zimmer 483″, frankly, it wouldn't be the end of the world …
Tom: Actually, no band can stay on top forever, we are aware of that. For now, our career is like a fairy tale, it is almost too good to be true. We'll surely experience throwbacks. But whatever happens, we are so passionate about music that we'll never stop doing it, that's for sure.

Viva Mexico
Guy: How are you feeling here in Mexico? Bill: We're very happy, we had a lot of fun onstage and we're just so happy to be here.
Guy: How did you get together as a band? Tom: We met Georg and Gustav when were 7 years old, we were together in various projects when we were younger, all of them had to do with music. Eight years ago we came together as a formal band.
Guy: How was your life as students in school? Bill: It wasn't the best period of our lives, to be honest. Our grades weren't the best at all, they weren't bad but sometimes we got grounded because of them. Our time at school was never the best.
Guy: How do you see and feel all the mexican girls? Tom: We are very happy to see all the girls, yesterday we saw around 5000 people at the autograph signing, that was great. Their welcome has been awesome.
Guy: In every group of friends there's always the slob, the leader, the one whose always late. Who are these people in the band? Bill: Georg is always late.Guy: Georg is saying that it isn't true… Georg: I'm getting better in being on time. Gustav: I'm the relaxed one. Tom: I'm the sex symbol.
Guy: There are always embarrassing moments while you travel. Any moment you'd like to share? Bill: We have a lot of embarrassing moments but what we always have are girls that sneak up to our hotel room, climbing two floors just to get to us from the outside.
Guy: We know you a little here in Mexico but we would like to know more. Why Tokio Hotel? You guys are from Germany. Bill: We like big cities so we thought Tokio could be appropiate.
Guy: Well, Mexico City is a big city. You can name the band Mexico City Hotel *everyone laugh* Bill: And since traveling around the world was our dream, we chose the word hotel
Guy: What are your plans after Mexico? Bill: We're flying to L.A. to continue the tour tonight and for the VMAs, we are nominated two times.
Guy: Thanks so much for coming. In two days is your b.day, what are you doing? Tom: We don't know yet but it will surely be dirty!
*Then the guy starts talking about they make a concert for the station every year since 20 years ago and that they are honored to have TH*
Guy: Thanks again. Tom: Muchas gracias.
Guy: Any words in spanish? Gustav (yes, it's him): Como esta chica. Tom: Hola. Muchas gracias. Te quiero puta (puta is an offensive word so obviously the guy didn't translate that hahaha) Georg: No. Bill: Viva Mexico!

The Truth about Fans and Groupies! (DE Bravo 40/08)

Germany, France, England or the USA No matter where the boys show up, the same scenes happen everywhere. Fans that completely lose it, who scream the names of Bill, Tom, Gustav and Georg. they know the songs inside out.
Many TH fans go even further, making clear offers to their favorites., for instance by writing dirty poster slogans. "F**k mich durch den monsoon, or, Tom we want to give you a blowjob", are some of the innocent ones.
In the fifth part of the Big Bravo series, the boys tell us exclusively what is really going on, between them and their fans.
Bravo: what do you think about the somewhat hard slogans by your fans?
Tom: I think it is cool that our fans are so direct. (smiles). Bill: that's our fans.. but to be honest, when we first started, it took our breath away!
Bravo: what have been the best experiences with your fans?
Bill: Our first concert after "Durch den monsoon" was released, all of a sudden so many fans sang along to that song. The concert had to be cut short, cause the pushing and shoving was too much. That really overwhelmed me. Tom: we were just in Mexico. we had to give out autographs for 2 hours. The fans were so touched, that a lot of them cried. that was so extreme. We had never been to an south american country before and we didn't know that we were so famous there and all at once there were thousands of people. it was really unbelievable what happened there!
Bravo: have you ever had weird experiences with fans?
Tom: oh yeah! in madrid the situation got out of control once. Gustav went to his hotelroom, but in his bed were some fans already. they were all over him and he was completely startled. There have been a lot of fans in front of Bill and my room as well. they kept pounding on the door, climbed up the firescapes, totally screaming! Bill: then all of a sudden the police showed up. they broke down the door and pulled me out. they yelled: are you Bill kaulitz?" then they pressed my hands together, interrogated me and thought I was responsible for the chaos. The problem was, they could not speak english, only spanish. I hardly understood anything. Tom had tried to get through to the security guys. when they came, the problem got cleared. The police really wanted to take me to the policestation!
Bravo: that is when fans go to far, or ??
Bill: well, yeah, it was pretty traumatizing and severe. Tom: but we were on the road with our band, then we really do not mind. it is part of the job and we are not scared or anything. it was pretty bad, but at the same time it was pretty funny. when we are at home, we like to have our peace and quiet. we do not give out autographs and take pictures. but when we are on the road, we gladly do those things!
Bravo: have you ever been mean to your fans?
Tom: well we would never be mean to our fans on purpose. they are too important to us. Bill: we don't want to be mean to them, we love them. but everyone has their bad days and looks mad at times. sometimes we are just not able to give everyone an autograph. that is when we are in stress and have to go to the next appointment. We are on the road for our fans all the time and are definately no a**holes.
Bravo: hand on your hearts, did you have painfull moments with your fans?
Tom: noo, just one time a girl wanted to go to the room and fell down. Bill: or the time at the airport. one time girls yelled: we wanna f**k you, in the dead silence. that was pretty painfull but more for them. Bravo: Tom, how many groupies did you sleep with?
Tom: hmmm that is really hard to say, I am not counting. Bill; yeah he does, he has a clicker thing, right?? (laughs) Tom: what I can say, I had more women in my bed that I have been to the toilet.(laughs) No, nonsense. seriously now, I have calmed down somewhat.
Bravo: meaning??
Tom: I really do not want to believe it myself, but maybe I have had my wild time already at 19. not that sex is boring!! but I prefer watching a dvd at night sometimes. the other thing is a bit more tiring. (smiles) at the moment, I could actually imagine something more serious. but the girl would really have to be a knockout. (knock me off my feet)
Bravo: and what is going on with groupies and Gustav and Georg? are they as wild as tom?
Tom: as far as we know, nothing is going on with them (laughs) Bill: they are not the kind of guys, that get together with a girl just like that. Gustav had a girlfriend at the beginning of our career. but after that nothing anymore. Tom: Georg acts like a total flirt. but he actually prefers when the girl comes on to him. Bill: he is really dirty on the inside, but too shy to the outside. Tom: you have to show him how things are done. I am sure that there are girls that really like him and that he likes as well! but no one stepped up to him. with me that is totally different. I am one of the hunter and collector types.
Bravo: and you Bill, still no kiss for you?
Bill: no, nothing yet. it makes me totally sad. I am 19 now, and I really miss it. I really would like a girlfriend, that I could share my live with, who understands everything I do. I have Tom of course, but I absolutely want a girlfriend.
Bravo: but there are of course a lot of offers?
Bill: it is really hard, to trust someone. I do not have time, am always on the road. when I see girls at after show parties, I never know, what they really want. I really do not see a change short term. that is bad. but I still have the music, that is my sanctuary. and dogs are my replacement. at some point I want to have a lot of dogs. They make me happy!

Max.de - Tom Kaulitz habla sobre Sexo (entrevista del 2007)
Only sex?
How do you find the perfect lover? MAX asked Tom Kaulitz, 18, who can practically have every woman, which criteria should fulfill a short-time partner for him.
MAX: What kind of women do you prefer? Tom: First, I don´t go for any specific type of woman. Blonde, brunette or red-haired- I don't care. And second, even if I would go for a special type it'd be totally stupid, if I would admit that. Seriously, it just have to match. Well, after all not really. I´m awful at long relationships at the moment and for one night, it isn't really about the character. Everyone who says something else, is a liar.
MAX: With which famous woman would you like to spend a night with? Tom: It is so boring to go for famous woman, that I again think it's cool. Well, many names come to my mind: Olsen Twins, Angelina Jolie, Jessica Alba, the three girls from the Playboy Mansion…
MAX: How do you seduce a woman? Tom: It´d be a lie if I'd say that I put on a certain show that always works or that I have a recipe to seduce a woman. I take it as it comes. It's easy to say that for me, because the other three nobodies from the band don´t have anything to tell about.
MAX: What turns you on? Tom: I'm the typical hunter-gatherer. I have to take over a woman. I love it when she acts like she is not interested.
MAX: And what totally turns you off? Tom: Dirty Talk! Women should talk less in bed. Screaming is ok..
MAX: A number of female fans want to go to bed with you. Who can make it, who not? Tom: Well, I wouldn't exclude anyone. I just have limited time, unfortunately a day only has 24 hours.
MAX: Did you ever fall in love? Tom: No, never. To be honest I don't believe in love. Except love for one night.
MAX: What was your longest relationship? Tom: I think it was 2 years. Since that never longer than 2 days.
MAX: Have you ever done something crazy for a woman? Tom: Since I was never in love, I think, I never did anything crazy for a woman.
MAX: Extraordinary places, that you had sex at? Tom: Hmm. In a field (laughs). But I wasn't the only one that was bitten by something. I hate bugs. I rather prefer sex at home, but there all over the place.

¿Vais asi a diario?

Entrevista sobre Rock in Rio

(enseguida subimos la traduccion)
Clearly, these guys are the musical sensation of the moment. There is more to
ee how their fans become crazy when they appear on stage. 'Muy JUNIOR' was
with Tokio Hotel a few minutes before the concert that they played in the festival
Rock In Rio Madrid. Be aware of what they told us.
- The Rock In Rio slogan is "For a Better World". What would you do for get it?
- Bill: It's a difficult question that can not be answered with a sentence. There
are many things you can do to improve the world. A festival like this is a good
first step and participate in it as musicians, too.
- How are the fans of Spain?
- Bill: We are delighted with them. The concert in Barcelona has been very nice
and here we have hear that there are some fans who have been hours and hours
waiting. It makes us so much illusion that this is like this. We are glad. All tell us
that there is a very good feedback. Many people come and we are having success.
- Had felt dizzy for having reached success so quickly?
- Tom: We had a lot of luck, it is our feeling. From then, there have been moments
of great importance in this career that we have needed time to digest. And well,
everything that happens to us yet is not entirely normal for us. For example, can
play today here is something very special.
- Your aesthetic is very peculiar. Are you going like this dialy? What is your opinion
about 12 years old kids imitate your looks?
- Tom & Bill: We would always go of this way in our daily lives, but it is no longer
possible. Well, when we were going to college we were going like this. It's our
style. Of course, now would be not very relaxing go to the street dressed on this
way because we want to pass unnoticed.
- Bill, how are you after your throat operation? Have you noticed any change in
your voice?
- Bill: Everything it's like before. This was the aim of the operation. But it's true
that was a time of downturn in our career and personally was very touched. The
worst thing was to disappoint the fans by the shows cancelled. And, obviously, to
a vocalist is so afraid operate the vocal cords, but fortunately we played as before.
- Yesterday concert in Barcelona, today in Madrid.. Do you like having an agenda so busy?
- Bill & Georg: Of course, we can define addicted to work. We've been almost 3
years without stop. We take vacations once a year for 2 weeks, but it is what we
wanted, what we like: travel and concerts around the world.
- Tom: We set our dates and where and when we play. No one decides for us. And
yes, obviously there are moments where you say "I can't anymore". Sometimes
you're on 2 or 3 cities in a single day and don't know how or where you are. Even
so, it must be maintained and is something that fills us with.
- You have money, fame, the girls loves you.. What lack to you?
- Bill, Tom & Georg: There's more things that we lack. We're always overestimate
and they think we're little billionaires. But also, we're all single, also must be said.
Anyway, the success hitch, it's like a drug. And you want more success, more
concerts, more tours. Therefore, we also have a self-requirement.
- You're compare with the Beatles by the fan phenomenon, are you
aware that this can finish someday?
- Bill: Of course. We started as a small and unknown band and, sometimes there
were only 5 people listening. Therefore, we know what is not have this fan phenomenon
and, therefore, we appreciate it more. We try to be aware of this always and we
hope that this will be durable. We know that can come risks, as in all works, but
that is an incentive to continue.
